FUNCTIONS
(a) The Vice-President performs such functions as assigned to him/her by the President of the Republic
(b) The Vice-President performs the functions of President of the Republic, in case the latter office is vacant, or the President is absent from Mauritius, or for any reason is unable to perform the functions of his Office.
