Mother: Renowned social and political activist, instilling values of solidarity, resilience, and social consciousness.

 

EDUCATION

 

  • Schooling: Primary and Secondary Schools in Rose Hill.
  • Further Training: Continuous training in supervisory management and leadership skills.

 

POLITICAL

  • Early involvement in the 1975 student movement  for free education.
  • Elected in the 1995 Municipal Elections and re-elected in 2001.
  • Served as Mayor of Beau Bassin Rose-Hill (2004–2005).
  • Contested unsuccessfully in the 2010 and 2019 General Elections (constituencies No. 18 and No. 4) respectively .
  • Political Affiliation: Member of the Mouvement Militant Mauricien (MMM), driven by socialist philosophy and people-centered development.

  • Served as a consultant in the customs clearance and Freight Forwarding  until November 2024.
  • Longstanding managing committee member of the Freight Forwarding Association, also served as its President.
  • Advocate for transparency, ethical practices, and a fair framework to advance the industry.
  • Acted as trainer for association members, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
